Rapper Namewee has been charged in court after allegedly using and possessing drugs during a police raid at a hotel in Kuala Lumpur on October 22.

The case indirectly links the Malaysian singer to the death of Taiwanese influencer Hsieh Yu-hsin, also known as “Nurse Goddess,” who was found dead in the same hotel room.

Namewee, whose real name is Wee Meng Chee, reportedly met with Hsieh to discuss a potential collaboration.
According to reports, Hsieh also known as Iris Hsieh went to take a shower but failed to come out, and was later found dead by Wee.
The rapper then called the emergency hotline at around 12:30 p.m.

According to Malaysiakini, Kuala Lumpur Police Chief Fadil Marsus said officers found nine pills suspected to be ecstasy in the hotel room.
Wee was taken to the Dang Wangi district police headquarters for a urine test, which later came back positive for amphetamine, methamphetamine, ketamine, and THC.

However, Namewee has denied all allegations and stated that reports by Chinese-language media linking him to murder are false. — Boom!
