Actor and singer, Naim Daniel has finally spoken out after facing charges of committing sexual assault against an underage female teenager.
Despite the serious allegations, Naim, whose real name is Muhammad Naim Daniel Baharin, 28, stated that he is currently in good condition and his main focus is on his personal well-being.
“Alhamdulillah, I’m healthy, thank you for asking.
My focus now is on my well-being,” he said briefly when met at the Sessions Court premises today.
Naim also expressed that the continuous support from his family and fans has greatly helped him navigate this challenging situation.
“My family, alhamdulillah, is all okay, no issues.
Everyone is praying for the best,” he added.
According to a Kosmo! Online report, Naim attended court for the payment of a RM12,000 bail bond after pleading not guilty to the charges read during a closed proceeding before Judge Datin M. Kunasundary.
His lawyer, Datuk Amirul Ridzuan Hanif, said that Naim’s international passport has been surrendered to the court, and the case mention is scheduled for August 18 at the Putrajaya Sessions Court.
According to the charge, Naim is accused of committing physical sexual assault against a 17-year-old female teenager at a hotel in Selangor, under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 (Act 792).
It is understood that Naim was detained on June 3 and was released on police bail after giving his statement. – BOOM!
