Malbatt: Misi Bakara is a military film that is based on a true story of an operation that happened in the Bakara Market in Somalia in 1993. It was where over a hundred Malaysian soldiers from the 19th battalion of the Royal Malay Regiment (RAMD) Mechanised Malaysia Battalion (Malbatt) mission at Somalia where they were deployed to rescue a group of U.S Army Rangers, trapped & surrounded by heavily armed men of warlord Farah Aidid.
