An entertainment television program in Mexico reportedly sparked controversy after several comments criticising BTS and their fans, ARMY.
The program, which aired last month, discussed ticket prices and the overwhelming response to BTS’s world tour concerts in Mexico City.
During the discussion, several TV hosts made remarks about BTS fans, particularly regarding the rise in ticket prices.
“In Mexico, the prices of international artists’ concerts have increased two or three times in recent years. Shakira’s concerts are no exception,” said Yvonne Chavez.
Luisa Fernanda added that if Shakira were to return, the same situation would happen again.

Despite the price increase, there are still fans who continue to attend concerts, even repeatedly.
“If I had a 17-year-old daughter, I would not allow her to go to the concert. I would tell her to stay at home and do her schoolwork.
“This is not the time to cry and complain over performances by artists who are not well known,” he said.

Yvonne, however, believed that parents should not belittle the dreams of young people.
“Seeing BTS live is a huge dream for some young people,” she said.
However, Luisa sparked even greater controversy when she claimed that she believed half of BTS fans did not complete primary school.
Shortly after the broadcast, criticism flooded social media as BTS fans uploaded videos and posts revealing their educational backgrounds and careers, including lawyers, doctors, veterinarians, and engineers.

BTS is scheduled to perform at Stadium GNP Seguros in Mexico City on May 7, 9, and 10.
In fact, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum is also reported to have asked the President of South Korea to arrange an additional BTS concert during the same month. – BOOM!
