Actor and singer Cat Farish revealed that the Cekopis shop he ran with his wife, Shikin Maembong, has been closed for more than two months.

Cat, 51, said one of the reasons for the closure was a series of strange disturbances they experienced while operating the business.
He shared that the shop was suddenly filled with flies and an unusual floral scent appeared, causing discomfort.
“There were times when we entered the shop and suddenly there were many flies, and there was a smell like bunga rampai (rose-scented floral mix),” he said.

In addition, Cat, whose real name is Farish Ramli, explained that the shop struggled to attract customers as neighboring shops had closed, leaving the alley quiet and unappealing.

He also shared that working together with his wife presented challenges that led to conflict and tension in managing the business.

Following the closure of the shop, Cat and Shikin plan to open an art gallery and focus fully on the arts.
Shikin added that after no longer running Cekopis, she has returned to painting full-time and selling her artwork. –Boom!
