Actress Malia Baby expressed her disappointment after the fashion she wore at a recent event became a topic of discussion among netizens. Many questioned her appearance, claiming it did not align with the image and advice on Muslimah attire that she often shares on social media.
Acknowledging her dismay, Malia emphasized that all her previous posts were meant as reminders for herself in her journey of self-improvement.
“Because of unconstructive comments like these, people don’t want to post good things. Because you have to be perfect. The advice I’ve been sharing is for myself and for everyone. I make videos as reminders for myself.”
She further clarified that she has never considered herself perfect and hopes people won’t place high expectations on her just because she often shares religious content.
“In all my videos, I use ‘we’ because I too am a person struggling to fulfill Allah’s trust. If there’s something wrong with me, don’t follow it. But don’t use the excuse ‘she advises others’ to spread hate towards me.”
Malia added that she is open to receiving advice but hopes it is done in a respectful manner and not just to bring someone down.
“You can give advice, but don’t be rude or disrespectful. We don’t enter hell just because of our actions; the heart matters too. A dirty heart makes everything dirty.”
In another Instagram Story post, Malia stressed that she is just an ordinary person still striving to improve her faith and does not deserve to be compared to religious preachers.
“If you feel you need advice from someone better, go listen to an ustaz. I’m just a woman struggling with my own faith and trying every day.”
Despite facing criticism, Malia remains hopeful that her sharing can still benefit those who need it. – BOOM!
