Famous Indonesian singer, Mahalini Raharja couldn’t hold back tears while watching the animated film Jumbo, which has become the talk of the town throughout the 2025 Aidilfitri season.
Through a post on her Instagram Story, the wife of Rizky Febian uploaded a picture of herself crying in the cinema, joined by famous celebrities like Rossa, Yura Yunita, Rizky Febian, and Donne Maula.
Not just Mahalini, Rossa and Yura Yunita, who sat beside her, also looked sad with wet and swollen eyes after watching the movie.
“Really good, Jumbo is the best. For me, who lost one of my parents and now as a mother to Selina, this really touches the heart,” said Mahalini.
The movie Jumbo, featuring the voice of Bunga Citra Lestari (BCL) as the mother of Don and Ariel NOAH as one of the key characters, not only received an incredible response in Indonesia but also caught the attention of international media as the highest-grossing Indonesian animated film.
Mahalini also connected the movie’s storyline to her personal experiences — losing her mother in 2021 and the touching moments of being a mom herself.
