Kruniverse Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of KRU Group, has launched Magika Ice Cream as the result of a collaboration with SD Guthrie Berhad, inspired by the 2010 film Magika and featuring local flavours in the form of handcrafted gelato.

Magika Ice Cream highlights iconic flavours such as cempedak, durian, and apam balik in a modern gelato version, combining local nostalgia with fantasy elements, It features 11 gelato flavours inspired by the tastes of Malaysians.

According to Dato’ Norman Abdul Halim, the launch of Magika Ice Cream opens a new pathway for KRU into the F&B industry, with the Magika brand now “living” as an experience that can be felt, not just watched.
“Magika Ice Cream is an exciting step for KRU Group of Companies in our expansion into the hospitality and F&B sector.

He further explained that the collaboration between KRU and Guthrie combines sustainable innovation with creative storytelling, making Magika Ice Cream a plant-based product that is centred on local ingredients.
“The Magika brand has always symbolised imagination, magic, and Malaysian identity.
“Through this collaboration with Guthrie, we are proud to translate that spirit into a product that can be enjoyed by the whole family, where magic is not only seen, but also felt,” he said.

The launch of Magika Ice Cream marks Kruniverse’s expansion into the F&B sector, bringing the world of Magika into a real-life experience for the whole family.
Magika Ice Cream is currently sold at Rimba Café, Putrajaya, and will soon be expanded to Aneka Walk, Shah Alam, as well as Magika Studios, a new attraction set to open in Klang, Selangor. – BOOM!
