Actress Linda Hashim has alleged that her husband, Beego, used the death of a family member as an excuse to avoid attending their divorce proceedings, which took place at the Kuala Lumpur Syariah Lower Court today.
Linda, whose full name is Norhazlinda Hashim, said she was aware of Beego’s whereabouts and knew that the funeral arrangements had already been completed earlier.
“I have proof of where he was because he told me his location. He did not attend the burial of his aunt on Monday. He didn’t attend the mourning ceremony either. I leave everything to Allah, let Allah alone arrange my journey until a very, very good ending, God willing,” she was quoted as saying by mStar.
Linda also claimed that Beego was using his status as her husband to deliberately delay their divorce proceedings.
Linda was present at the Syariah Lower Court of the Federal Territory for the hearing to confirm the taklik pronouncement, however Beego was once again reported absent.
At this hearing, Beego, whose real name is Mohamad Aszerul Nizam Abdullah, 45, failed to attend on the grounds that his aunt had passed away the day before, and was represented only by his lawyer, Muhamad Akmal Amzan.
However, Linda’s lawyer, Nurul Fadzilah Kamaluddin, said that Beego failed to provide any evidence to support his absence.
The court has postponed their divorce proceedings to 21 January next year. –Boom!
