American legendary singer, Connie Francis, famous for her song Pretty Little Baby, passed away at the age of 87 on Wednesday (local time).
The sad news was confirmed by her close friend and President of Concetta Records, Ron Roberts, through a post on Facebook.

“With a very heavy heart and deep sorrow, I wish to announce the passing of my dear friend, Connie Francis, last night,” he said.
It is understood that the 1960s-era singer had recently received treatment for a fractured pelvis and was also diagnosed with a bacterial infection in her lungs (pneumonia) while being treated in the hospital.
Connie Francis’ passing was announced just two weeks after she was admitted to the hospital due to severe pain she experienced.
On July 4, in conjunction with U.S. Independence Day, the late singer had shared that her condition was improving after getting sufficient rest.
However, two days later, she was readmitted to the hospital for further examination regarding her condition.
Connie Francis’ name regained attention among the newer generation when her song Pretty Little Baby, recorded in 1962, went viral on TikTok, more than six decades after its release.
