For the first time, Indonesia’s popular music festival, Pestapora, will make its way to Malaysia through a special edition called Latihan Pestapora Malaysia, set to take place on July 26, 2025.
The official announcement for the festival was made during a special press conference held last Wednesday at The Campus Ampang, attended by participating artists and representatives from the main organizers, Hitman Solutions, Malaysia’s renowned concert organizer, and Boss Creator, the original Pestapora organizer from Indonesia.
Among the big names set to light up the stage are .Feast, Hindia, Barasuara x Efek Rumah Kaca, Feel Koplo, Kunto Aji, and Pamungkas. Representing Malaysia are an impressive lineup of artists including Bittersweet, Bunkface, DOLLA, SonaOne, Salammusik, and many more.
“Every year, thousands of Pestapora fans from Malaysia travel to Jakarta. We want Malaysians to experience its magic too.
Latihan Pestapora is like a ‘preview’ for those who can’t make it to Jakarta this September,” explained Rohit Rampal, CEO and Founder of Hitman Group.
Interestingly, over 2,000 tickets were sold out even before the artist lineup was announced, a testament to the trust fans have in the Pestapora brand, known for its blend of music, art, and culture.
“This year, we’re trying something new by expanding to Malaysia. We hope Latihan Pestapora can be a bridge for art between the two countries,” said Kiki Ucup, Festival Director of Pestapora and Co-Founder of Boss Creator.
This festival is not just a performance stage but a space for Nusantara cultural collaboration that will connect the Malaysia-Indonesia art communities.
