Former AOA K-pop member Kwon Mina shared a lengthy message on Instagram yesterday, revealing the mental pressure she has endured and her lingering resentment over past experiences that continue to haunt her.

In the post, Mina expressed ongoing emotional distress and the difficulty of confronting her trauma. She also disclosed that she had once attempted to end her life but was rescued just two hours before a more tragic outcome occurred.
Kwon Mina spoke about the challenges she faces as a rape survivor who also suffered injuries, yet lacks material evidence to prove her suffering.
“If you are not in that situation, different words come out and rumors spread. I hate being wronged again, so I even tried to bravely confront them… (in the end) I destroyed myself. I have no physical evidence, no CCTV, no recordings not only regarding the group of rapists, but also as a rape victim and someone who suffered injuries throughout the four years the case went on. The rape incident was acknowledged, but the injuries could not be proven,” she said, as quoted by The Chosun Daily.

Although the post was later deleted, her message had already gone viral and drew widespread attention from netizens who expressed concern for the singer’s mental well-being.

Fans and Internet users are hoping that Mina will receive the necessary support and treatment to help her recover and regain emotional stability, while also highlighting the importance of awareness surrounding mental health issues. –Boom!
