In a strategic move expected to transform the landscape of Malaysia’s hospitality and entertainment-themed tourism industry, Kruniverse Sdn. Bhd., the hospitality and lifestyle arm of KRU Group, announced an official partnership with Unity Trust Berhad to execute a RM50 million expansion plan in Shah Alam and Klang.
This collaboration will develop several key projects centered on AI technology, KRU’s intellectual property, and support from local authorities and communities.

Kruniverse’s Chairman, Y.M. Tengku Dato’ Dr. Hishammuddin Zaizi Tengku Bendahara Azman Shah Alhaj, stated that Kruniverse is at the right time and place to expand its hospitality offerings by leveraging KRU’s brand strength and technology.
The RM50 million fund will be raised over three years through innovative financing mechanisms.
To ensure transparent governance, Unity Trust Berhad has been appointed as an independent governance partner to ensure compliance with fiduciary responsibilities and regulations.
KRU Corp’s CEO, Dato’ Norman Abdul Halim, emphasized that this partnership not only strengthens the company’s operations but also builds a sustainable ecosystem that benefits businesses and local communities.
Meanwhile, Unity Trust Berhad’s CEO, Syed Sadiq Obaidi Albar Syed Hamid, said the collaboration supports Kruniverse’s ambition to grow from a family-owned business into a professional organization ready for public listing.
