The iconic group KRU, which once colored Malaysia’s music industry with its pop, rap, and futuristic elements, is now taking a brief hiatus following the success of their GenKRU concert.
Recently, rumors surfaced suggesting that KRU is set to heat up the stage again with a concert in Penang by the end of August.

However, these speculations were debunked by Dato’ Norman Abdul Halim, one of the group’s members.
“For now, we’re all taking a rest.
There are no plans for any concerts, including in Penang,” Norman firmly stated.
According to Norman, Edry Abdul Halim has been in Manchester since early July and is expected to return to Malaysia temporarily in October 2025.
“Edry is still in the UK, so no KRU activities are planned in the near future.
We might resume activities when he returns temporarily in October,” he told BOOM!
Meanwhile, despite no official KRU activities in the near term, many fans continue to express hope that the group will hold a tour covering more locations across Malaysia. – BOOM!
