Renowned Hollywood actor, Jeremy Renner revealed that he turned down an offer to star in the second season of the Hawkeye series after being offered only half of his original pay.

According to Jeremy in an interview with the High Performance Podcast, he deemed the offer unworthy as it required an eight-month commitment with heavier workloads but paid less than the first season.
“They asked me to do season two and offered half the pay,” he said.
Renner also believed the low offer might stem from the horrific accident he suffered in early 2023, when he was hit by a 14,000-pound snowplow while helping his nephew near Lake Tahoe.
“I said, ‘Sorry? Why? Do you think I’m only half Jeremy after getting crushed or something? Maybe that’s why you want to pay me half of what I got for season one.’”
The incident caused him severe injuries, including broken ribs, and damage to his ankle, knee, shoulder, and collarbone.
“I told them to go fly a kite. I mean, with such an insulting offer. So, we couldn’t reach an agreement.”
The actor also clarified that the offer decision didn’t come from Marvel but from Disney’s management, which prioritized cost-cutting.
Despite his disappointment with the situation, Jeremy still expressed his love for the character Clint Barton.
“I still love that character. I still want to do it. But I have to stand up for myself. I didn’t even ask for more – just the same pay as the first season,” he explained.
However, he chose not to proceed with the project to prioritize his health and physical well-being after undergoing a long and challenging recovery process. – BOOM!
