Isa Khan Criticizes Malaysian Dramas For Being Filled With Indecent Scenes

Actor and director Isa Khan has criticized contemporary Malaysian dramas for being saturated with inappropriate content. 

Isa stated that many local dramas now contain soft-porn like scenes done solely to boost ratings, to the point of neglecting moral values and religious dignity.

“Malaysian dramas nowadays are filled with indecency. Many scenes have elements of soft porn just to raise ratings, to the extent of compromising religious values,” he said on Threads.

He emphasized that television dramas are watched by the general public, including children, making such bold content highly unsuitable.

“Television dramas are for general viewing, even children watch them,” he added.

Isa also commented that there are too many “homewrecker” characters and repetitive crime storylines, causing many viewers to lose interest in television.

At the same time, he criticized the lack of Islamic elements in dramas and reminded directors to focus on content that is constructive, ethical, and educational for society.

Isa previously spoke out against the “Jamilah trend,” calling it inappropriate and not something social media users should imitate.  –Boom!
