Influencer and entrepreneur Iqbal Zulkefli shared a nerve-wracking experience during his first acting role in the drama Perempuan Itu, which even caused renowned actor Zul Ariffin to lose his patience on the very first day of filming.
Iqbal revealed that he was still new to acting and struggled to memorize his lines, while his co-stars at the time were Zul Ariffin and actress Mimi Lana.
“On the first day, Zul Ariffin lost his patience and left because I couldn’t memorize my lines. Eventually, during the shoot, they had to place the script on the table,” he said on Threads.
However, things improved after Iqbal decided to join acting classes led by experienced actor Ogy Ahmad Daud to strengthen his fundamentals.
“After a few shoots, I went to Ogy Ahmad Daud’s classes and everything ran smoothly during the 30-day shoot,” he added.
Iqbal described the experience as highly challenging since he was immediately given a major role, but it ultimately became a crucial turning point in building his confidence and discipline in acting. –Boom!
