Renowned Korean singer, Hwasa admitted she is now facing hearing problems in one ear after her eardrum was damaged due to an in-ear device exploding during a performance.
The issue was revealed by Hwasa on the program Crazy Rich Korean, aired recently on KBS 2TV.

In the episode, viewers could see the difficult moments Hwasa experienced during her U.S. tour.
According to Hwasa, during a performance in Boston, she had to max out the volume of her in-ear device because the crowd’s cheers were so loud she couldn’t hear clearly.
“I turned the volume to the maximum because I couldn’t hear anything.
But when it’s too loud, it can damage the eardrum or cause tinnitus.
At that moment, my in-ear device broke,” Hwasa explained.
Due to the incident, Hwasa now struggles to hear with her left ear.
“I’ve had tinnitus issues for a long time.
Because of all this, one of my ears really struggles to hear now,” she added.
Not only that, during the concert, Hwasa also battled an old foot injury that flared up again, alongside dealing with a hoarse voice due to exhaustion.
“That day was the worst of the entire tour. I really felt like I was getting a fever.
I was so worried because my body was already weak,” she said.
However, for the sake of her fans, Hwasa continued her performance as usual despite enduring the pain. – BOOM!
