Social media influencer, Imran Bard has finally come forward to publicly apologize to renowned actress Ellie Suriaty following a TikTok video that used the actress’s name.
In an Instagram Story post, Imran, whose real name is Muhammad Al Imran Badaruddin, admitted his mistake and acknowledged that his actions had hurt Ellie’s feelings.
“I, Imran Bard, would like to apologize for my oversight in the TikTok video that offended Madam. I also apologize for taking some time to calm down and reflect,” he wrote.
Imran clarified that he never intended to mock or offend anyone, and the use of Ellie’s name in his video was out of admiration for the talented actress.
“I grew up watching Madam Ellie’s performances. Even though I’m from Gen Z, I’m a huge fan of films from her era. However, I acknowledge my mistake that someone’s name should not be taken lightly, let alone made fun of, even as a joke.”
Imran also stated that he takes full responsibility for what happened and hopes Ellie will accept his apology.
Previously, Ellie Suriaty demanded an apology not only from Imran but also from his parents, claiming that the TikTok content had tarnished the reputation she had built over three decades in the arts industry. – BOOM!
