Famous Indonesian host, Ruben Onsu grabbed attention when he shared his success in memorizing three short surahs just two days after converting to Islam.
“I’ve memorized three surahs, and at that time, I had only been a Muslim for two days. Not long surahs, just short ones,” he said.
Quoting a Suara.com report, Ruben revealed that his intention to memorize surahs was to perfect his five daily prayers.
“At that time, an ustaz named Habib Usman Yahya suggested that I understand them if I couldn’t memorize the short surahs. But I’ll do my best first,” he added.
According to Ruben, since becoming a convert, his heart now feels calmer – especially when performing wudhu.
“I feel a peace I can’t even imagine. Just by taking wudhu, I can already enjoy that calmness,” he expressed with gratitude.
Previously, on April 1, Ruben shocked fans when he announced that he had embraced Islam. He said the decision was made of his own will and not forced by anyone.
