Actress Datin Rebecca Nur Al-Islam finally came forward to defend herself after being accused of borrowing RM1.5 million from her sister-in-law, the well-known entrepreneur Bonda Rozita Ibrahim.
Through a post on her Instagram Story, Rebecca vehemently denied the allegations and described them as a massive slander that tarnished her reputation and her family’s.
“Be careful with worldly slander. I swear on the name of my late father and my mother, I have never borrowed or known anything about the RM1.5 million being talked about.”
Rebecca clarified that all the accusations arose after Rozita’s family held a live session and turned the claims into hot content.
“This might just be content for them, but it’s not funny to involve something like this! Now all of Malaysia thinks I got RM1.5 million from my sister-in-law.”
Admitting her mistake for responding to the video statement earlier, Rebecca said she was only ‘triggered’ after being accused of seeking cheap publicity.
She added that the allegations have greatly impacted her family’s good name and dignity.
“In the name of Allah and His Messenger, I have never received a single cent. This isn’t a joke, this is a huge slander.”
Rebecca also revealed that she had sought clarification from her brother, who informed her that his wife (Rozita) promised to clear their names. – BOOM!
