After nearly nine years of staying out of the spotlight, popular Korean singer G.NA finally spoke out with an emotional Instagram post on September 2.
In the lengthy note, G.NA expressed gratitude for overcoming a difficult phase in her life since leaving the Korean entertainment industry in 2016.
“Hi again, I’ve carried this quietly for years.
While working in Korea’s entertainment industry, I went through an experience that changed me deeply.
What hurt most wasn’t what happened, it was the silence.
I disappeared not to hide, but to survive.”
The 36-year-old singer admitted she is now stronger and no longer lets her past define her.
“But I’m not that scared girl anymore. I’m no longer defined by the past, but by what I choose to do now. I’ve healed, I’ve grown, and I’m reclaiming my voice, not to relive old wounds, but to move forward with honesty and love.”
G.NA also thanked her loyal fans who continued to support her despite her long absence.
“To my loyal fans who never stopped believing in me, thank you from the bottom of my heart. To those who walked away, I understand. And to anyone silenced by shame, your story isn’t over. ”
This marks her first public statement since being fined in 2016 over allegations of an overseas prostitution scandal, which led her to leave South Korea and relocate to the United States.

G.NA, who debuted in 2010 with the song “I’ll Get Lost, You Go Your Way” and is known for hits like “Black & White” and “Top Girl,” now seems to signal that she is ready to move forward with renewed spirit. – BOOM!
