Singer Heliza Helmi and Hazwani Helmi are set to take part in a humanitarian mission to Gaza for the second time through Global Sumud Flotilla 2.0.

According to Hazwani Helmi, 28, preparations are currently underway, including intensive training throughout Ramadan. However, specific details cannot be disclosed to the public due to security reasons.
“We will be undergoing intensive training to suit our respective roles in the upcoming mission,” she said.

Hazwani did not deny the possibility that the risks involved this time may be greater compared to their previous mission, as the scale of the current operation involves around 100 ships and nearly 3,000 activists from around the world.
“If previously we were detained, this time it could be worse. We don’t know. That’s why our preparation is more focused on the spiritual aspect,” she said in an interview with Mstar.
She stressed that fear does exist, but they want to ensure that every step taken is with sincere intention and not in vain in the eyes of Allah.

At the same time, Hazwani revealed that their true source of strength comes from their parents.
“My mother and father are braver than us. They allowed their two daughters to go,” she said.

Meanwhile, commenting on issues regarding her relationship with celebrities that are often discussed by netizens, Hazwani stressed that their relationship is purely professional and she does not want personal matters to overshadow the main purpose.
“Besides supporting my career, they also talk about Palestine. I feel that if we can focus on the main purpose, which is highlighting humanitarian issues, that is what I appreciate more.” — BOOM!
