Actor and singer Hazman Al-Idrus hopes his hard-earned success in Indonesia will not be undermined following reports accusing him of participating in a Hindu ritual.

He revealed that it was not an easy journey to establish himself in the Indonesian entertainment industry, having faced numerous challenges including being scammed over permit arrangements before setting foot in the country.
“Please don’t let a misleading headline cause all my efforts in Indonesia to be misunderstood and spark unnecessary criticism.
It wasn’t easy to build a career here, from handling permit issues to learning the language, and even being cheated during documentation,” he told Boom!.

Hazman also shared that some people had mocked him, suggesting that he should return to Malaysia as they believed he wouldn’t be able to compete in Indonesia.
“But I have faith in my talent and the opportunities destined for me,” he added.

Earlier, Hazman denied local media reports claiming that his faith remained unshaken despite allegedly taking part in a Hindu ritual during a film shoot.
According to him, since moving to Indonesia, his main focus has been on expanding his artistic career to the international level.

After years of perseverance, Hazman said his name is now increasingly recognized by the Indonesian entertainment community, and he has been receiving more offers to act in international productions. — Boom!
