Malaysian singer and actor Hazman Al Idrus, who is currently making a name for himself in Indonesia, has denied a local newspaper report claiming he performed a Hindu ritual while filming in Bali, Indonesia.

According to Hazman, the report was false and misleading, causing confusion among netizens—some even going as far as to accuse him of leaving Islam.

Hazman, who is now based in Indonesia, clarified that the viral video in question was actually recorded during the filming of an international movie project.
“I never made any statement like what was written in the headline. The video in Bali was taken during a film shoot depicting the local culture and traditional rituals practiced by the community there,” he explained.

He emphasized that the particular scene was purely part of his acting role and had nothing to do with any real religious practice.
“I never said that my faith remains strong despite performing a Hindu ritual because I never did any ritual of another religion,” Hazman stated firmly.

The actor further explained that the film’s production team never forced him to participate in anything that would go against Islamic principles.
“I moved countries, not religions,” he added.
