Hans Isaac Returns To Lead FINAS, Ready To Boost Local Film Industry

Datuk Hans Isaac has been reappointed as the Chairman of the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS) effective yesterday, replacing Datuk Kamil Othman, who now serves as the Industry Advisor to FINAS.

Hans expressed his gratitude to the Communications Minister, Datuk Fahmi Fadzil, for the trust given and promised to do his best for the benefit of the country’s arts industry.

Hans admitted he’s thrilled to get this chance again after having to let go of the position in April 2020 due to political instability at the time.

“Now, I’m back in the industry that boosted my name to a certain level. I held this position before but had to step down because of political factors.

There are many plans I want to carry out, including fighting for the rights of behind-the-scenes workers so they get the recognition they deserve for their efforts,” he said.

Hans was previously appointed as FINAS Chairman in 2019, but stepped down on April 8, 2020.

Now, with his reappointment, he’s determined to ensure the local film industry keeps moving forward. – BOOM!
