The KRU siblings trio made new history when the GenKRU Concert, initially planned for two nights, was extended by one more night, making it three nights. The third night will be held on May 10, 2025, a week after the first and second nights on May 3 and 4 at the Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil.
This decision was made after ticket sales for the first two nights saw extraordinary demand. The first night tickets sold out within an hour of being released on December 20, while the second night tickets, with 10,000 seats, sold out in just 45 minutes.
Icon Entertainment founder, Iman Tang, explained that the decision to add the third night was based on high demand from fans.
“With careful consideration and the agreement of Datuk Norman Abdul Halim, Datuk Yusry Abdul Halim, and Edry Abdul Halim, we agreed to hold the concert on May 10. This decision is not opportunistic, but because KRU did not want to disappoint fans who couldn’t get tickets for the first and second nights,” he said.
According to Iman, this is a great honor for the local music industry, proving that Malaysian musicians have significant influence and power in the market.
