Actress Uqasha Senrose and actor Kamal Adli are now standing at a crossroads in their marriage.
Uqasha, who married Kamal on 1 October 2018 and shares a child with him, has decided to file for divorce after four years together.
For the first time after completing the third mention of her divorce application at the Federal Territories Syariah Court in Kuala Lumpur this morning, Uqasha spoke to the media, explaining that she had tried her best to save the marriage, including seeking help and advice from Kamal’s family but nothing changed.
“I have tried everything I can to fix this marriage. I even reached out to my husband’s family to help improve our relationship, but there was no change. I still have my own family and siblings who have given their advice. After those chances were taken for granted, I feel that choosing this path is the best for me and my child. I want to protect myself and my child from physical and mental harm,” she said, as reported by BH Online.
Earlier, Uqasha filed for divorce on 1 October under Section 47 on grounds of irreconcilable differences, after three court proceedings had taken place.
Meanwhile, Kamal Adli is reportedly still determined to save the marriage, standing firm in his stance despite the ongoing turmoil. —Boom!
