Famous actor Farid Kamil Zahari, 43, remains firm in his decision not to divorce his wife, Diana Danielle, despite currently undergoing the Reconciliation Committee (JKP) process in court.
According to Farid’s syarie lawyer, Fakhrul Azman Abu Hassan, the JKP process is proceeding as usual, with representatives appointed for both parties.
“There are no obstacles if they wish to discuss reconciliation or make amends, as this couple is still legally married. The final decision will be announced on March 24,” he said.
Meanwhile, Farid hopes for prayers from everyone so that their marital crisis can end positively.
“Alhamdulillah, today’s process went smoothly. I just need good prayers, and my stance remains the same. I want to stay with Diana,” he said when met by reporters.
Diana, who filed for divorce for the second time on November 4 last year, did not attend this court session as she was represented by her friend in the JKP process.
The couple, who have been married since November 3, 2012, previously faced a long marital crisis before divorcing via talaq satu (first divorce) virtually through Google Meet on August 10, 2023. However, they reconciled a month later.
Nevertheless, their marriage hit rough waters again when Diana filed for a new divorce. The couple is blessed with two children, Muhammad, 11, and Nur Aurora, 9.
The fate of their marriage now depends on the court’s decision, which is expected to be announced next month.
