Famous actress and model, Zahnita Wilson, shared a dark chapter of her life when she suffered from chronic depression, leading her to voluntarily admit herself to a psychiatric ward in 2019.
However, while being there, she saw other patients in far worse conditions, which made her realize something.

“I felt like I shouldn’t be there,” she said before deciding to leave and seek peace by turning to Allah SWT.
According to Zahnita, reading the Quran and praying helped her regain her strength. At the same time, her husband, Abdul Zackery, was the one who brought her in for treatment after seeing her worrying condition.
However, after various struggles in her marriage, Zahnita finally filed for divorce on December 3, 2024, at the Kuantan Syariah Lower Court, Pahang. This came after revelations of domestic abuse in their marriage.
Her husband was arrested on the same day to assist in the investigation and pleaded not guilty to the charge of harming Zahnita. On the other hand, Zackery claimed that he was the real victim of domestic violence, revealing that Zahnita had filed for divorce multiple times over their 20-year marriage.

The couple got married in 2005 and has four children: Zahrafeena (18), Zasharayna Ghouse (13), Zahlia Syawwal (8), and Abd Zayden Ghouse (4).
Now, Zahnita is choosing to rise again and focus on her career. Recently, she was appointed as the 2025 Raya campaign ambassador for NR Cosmetics. – BOOM!
