Renowned film producer David Teo expressed his shock and disappointment upon learning that actor Farid Kamil’s house is set to be auctioned. What’s more surprising is that the property was a gift from David himself following the impressive box office success of a film produced by Metrowealth International Group (MIG) about 10 years ago.
According to David, he only found out about the situation through a media call.
“If Farid had problems, he should have told me. Maybe I could have bought the house from him. It’s a waste for the house to be auctioned because its value has now doubled,” he said.
David also mentioned he was willing to help if he had been informed earlier.
“I would have been willing to buy the house and give him the amount he needed, then maybe I could resell it later. But now it’s too late because the house is going to be auctioned,” he added.
Regarding claims of Farid’s financial issues, David admitted that their relationship was strictly professional and he was unaware of Farid’s personal life.
“We never discussed personal matters. He contacted me to ask for a lead role, and I offered him the film Bisikan Dosa. Other than that, I don’t know anything about his problems.”
Previously, a notice of the auction went viral on social media, showing a house in Bandar Saujana Putra, Selangor, listed for auction at RM522,000. The property is believed to belong to Farid Kamil Zahari, but the actor has yet to make any official statement. – BOOM!
