Actor and comedian Along Cham, whose real name is Muhammad Nizamudin Ahmad, 42, has confirmed that he will file and finalize a conditional divorce (cerai taklik) with his wife, Afreena Suhaimi, at the Putrajaya Shariah Court today.
Along is expected to file the case around 11 a.m. this morning. When contacted, the actor confirmed the matter but declined to elaborate further.
“I have no comment, but I will be filing the confirmation of the conditional divorce today. Let’s wait for the next episode,” he said briefly.
Yesterday, Along was seen performing a prayer of gratitude in the dock after the Sepang Sessions Court granted him a discharge not amounting to an acquittal (DNAA) on charges of possessing cannabis found at his home in Cyberjaya last December.
Although he was cleared of that charge, Along still faces two other drug-related charges at the Sepang Magistrate’s Court. The court allowed him to post bail of RM5,000 while awaiting the next mention of the case. – BOOM!
