Malaysia’s renowned reggae ambassador, Sasi The Don, has released his latest single titled ‘Santhosham‘, which means ‘joy’ in Tamil. The song became available on digital platforms starting January 17, 2025.
Centered around the theme of joy as a universal language, ‘Santhosham‘ blends reggae rhythms, Tamil melodies, and elements of Indian, Malaysian, and Caribbean cultures. According to Sasi, “There are no limits or boundaries to experiencing joy. This song is an open invitation for everyone to join this joyful journey.”
The main chorus of the song, “Nan taan Santosham, Nee taan Santosham” (I am joy, you are joy), reinforces the message of spreading positive vibes regardless of background. Sasi also expressed heartfelt gratitude to his friends and supporters, including the Ministry of Communications, MyCreative Ventures, Sony Music Entertainment, and Hotel Imperial Lexis Kuala Lumpur, who contributed to this project.
Sasi revealed that his upcoming album, titled ‘My Perfect Yard‘, will be released in May 2025. This bilingual album features seven tracks and is produced in collaboration with Sony Music Malaysia.
