Hollywood star Dwayne Johnson has revealed how he paid tribute to the late Robin Williams in the fourth and final installment of the Jumanji franchise.

The film is scheduled to hit cinemas on December 11 next year. Johnson shared his heartfelt intention to honor Robin Williams, admitting that at first, he wasn’t sure what the best way to do so would be.
“It was my idea to pay tribute to him in a few ways, and at the beginning, I didn’t quite know how to approach it,” he said during the recent Golden Globes First-Time Nominee Celebration.

To bring that idea to life, the film’s costume designer, Laura Jean Shannon, suggested using the original dice from the first Jumanji movie released in 1995, which starred Williams.

According to a report by Geo News, Johnson chose to wear the dice as part of his costume throughout filming as a symbolic tribute to Williams and his legacy in the Jumanji franchise.
“This is a little Easter egg for Dr. Bravestone the dice from the original Jumanji with Robin Williams, as a sign of respect,” Johnson said in a video shared on his Instagram.

The gesture has been widely praised by fans for bridging the legacy of the original Jumanji with a new generation of viewers, while acknowledging Williams’ crucial role in launching the iconic franchise. —Boom!
