Former England football captain David Beckham has officially been knighted by King Charles III, earning the prestigious title of Sir during a ceremony held at Windsor Castle on November 4, 2025.

The 50-year-old football icon attended the historic event proudly alongside his wife, former Spice Girls member and fashion designer, Victoria Beckham.

Beckham expressed deep gratitude and humility over the honour, sharing his emotions on Instagram.
“I can’t put into words how special today is for me — a boy from East London receiving a Knighthood from His Majesty the King. I never imagined this would happen to me,” he wrote.

Beckham, who made 115 appearances for the England national team and played for some of the world’s biggest clubs including Manchester United and Real Madrid, was recognised for his contributions to sports and charitable work.
According to CNN, Victoria personally designed and sewed her husband’s suit for the ceremony.

Born on May 2, 1975, in East London, Beckham made history with Manchester United’s treble-winning season in 1999 securing victories in the Premier League, FA Cup, and UEFA Champions League. –Boom!
