A love that was once only admired from afar has now culminated at the altar! Maxime Bouttier and Luna Maya are officially husband and wife after a beautiful and emotional ceremony held on May 7, 2025, at COMO Shambhala Estate, Ubud, Bali.
The wedding incorporated elements of Balinese, Javanese, and European cultures, reflecting the backgrounds and life journeys of this romantic couple.

However, their love story captured widespread attention when Maxime revealed that he once admired Luna Maya only from a distance.
“I could only admire Luna from afar back then because of our age gap and the junior-senior dynamic in the industry. But fate is funny,” said Maxime.
In a Q&A session with Luna Maya on YouTube, Maxime shared his reaction when asked how it feels to marry the woman he once admired.
“Someone asked, ‘How does it feel to marry Luna Maya, whom you admired, and now she’s your wife?’”
“When I talk to my friends, I’m like, ‘Crazy, right, crazy!’ I still can’t believe it.”

Maxime also explained that he’s someone who tends to go with the flow of life. For him, if God has brought him together with Luna Maya, then that’s the fate destined for him.
He also considers their meeting and union as a gift from God.
Before tying the knot, the couple had been in a relationship for two years. In fact, Maxime proposed to Luna in April 2025 in Tokyo, Japan, under a romantic cherry blossom tree.
Now, a relationship that once blossomed from admiration has finally anchored in marriage. Congratulations to the newlyweds! – BOOM!
