Despite facing criticism over her 40-year age gap with her boyfriend, legendary singer Cher chooses to focus on her own happiness rather than public opinion.
At 79, the iconic performer said she is currently prioritizing joy and enjoying life to the fullest.
“Whatever. They’re not in my position, so no one really knows what’s going on in our relationship. We’re just having fun,” Cher told CBS Mornings.
Cher has been in a romantic relationship with Alexander Edwards for three years. She emphasized that the age difference has never been an issue between them.
The singer also revealed that she shares a close bond with Edwards’ six-year-old son, Slash, from his previous relationship.
Cher expressed that she had always wished to meet a man who already had a child, wish that she now feels has been granted.
“I prayed, ‘God, please give me a little boy and a man,’ and He granted that wish.” -Boom!
