For many generations of movie fans, Johnny Depp is synonymous with the character Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean.
Despite starring in various successful films, it’s the iconic pirate role that made him an international star.

Recently, the 62-year-old star surprised children at the Nino Jesus University Children’s Hospital in Madrid with an appearance in full Jack Sparrow costume on June 16.
His visit wasn’t for the cameras but a surprise trip to bring joy to terminally ill patients at the hospital, while he was in Spain filming a new movie titled Day Drinker.
Photos from the visit, shared by the agency Backgrid and gone viral on social media, showed Depp warmly interacting with the children in their treatment rooms.
Many fans were touched by his sincerity, with some calling the actor a “true hero.”
“He truly has a heart of gold,” wrote one user on the X platform.
