Awie’s Son Admits It’s Tough To Match His Father’s Fame

Datuk Awie’s son, Putra Ahmad Merrah, has begun taking steps toward a career in music, though he admits the journey ahead won’t be easy.

Ahmad Merrah has high ambitions as a singer but acknowledges the challenge of reaching the same level of fame as his father.

“If I become a singer, of course I want to be better than others, but when I think about my father being Datuk Awie, how can I possibly be better than him?” he told mStar.

Merrah said his interest in the arts has grown after receiving numerous offers to perform on stage, which have opened up new opportunities in the entertainment world.

Previously, he leaned more toward business, but now his focus is shifting toward music and entertainment. He hopes to gain experience and improve his skills to compete in the demanding industry.

However, Merrah stressed that his studies remain his main priority for now, even as he has received several offers to record songs. -Boom!
