Versatile singer Anita Sarawak, who has been absent from the entertainment industry since 2011, has shared an update about her life.
According to Roslen Fadzil, a lyricist and former entertainment journalist, Anita declined an invitation to perform at the Adnan Abu Hassan Tribute Concert, scheduled to take place in Kuala Lumpur in 2025.

Roslen revealed that he reached out to Anita with the help of her adoptive brother, Shuib Taib. They eventually received a WhatsApp reply from Anita’s husband, Mahathir Abdullah.
“Hi Shuib. Thank you for reaching out. Anita feels deeply moved when reminiscing about her memories with Adnan. He was truly one of the greatest producers of all time. Please send our regards to his family, as they must be proud of his incredible talent,” wrote Mahathir.
However, Mahathir explained that Anita now prefers a private life and apologized for being unable to accept the organizer’s invitation.
“Anita has retired and chosen a quieter life. We deeply appreciate this kind gesture, but we apologize for not being able to participate in this concert,” he further stated.
Previously, Anita’s disappearance from the public eye raised many questions among her fans. This recent update provides insight into her current life priorities, as she embraces a completely private existence with her husband in Las Vegas. – BOOM!
