Hollywood comedian Amy Schumer and her husband, Chris Fischer, have announced that they have decided to divorce after seven years of marriage.

The news was confirmed through an Instagram post shared by Amy on Tuesday. In the post, Schumer wrote that the decision was extremely difficult to make, but both remain committed to focusing on raising their child together.
“We have so much love for each other and will continue to focus on co-parenting our child. We appreciate it if people respect our privacy at this time,” she said.
The couple married in February 2018 and share a six-year-old daughter, Gene.

Amy, 44, stressed that the divorce was not due to issues related to weight loss or Fischer’s success as a well-known chef.

Amy first rose to fame through stand-up comedy and the film Trainwreck (2015), before becoming a prominent actress, writer and producer. She is also known for being open about personal issues, including her health and her experiences involving her mother. –Boom!
