Talented singer, Aisha Retno expressed her gratitude and excitement as she prepares to host her debut showcase concert, ‘The Aisha Experience,’ scheduled to take place at JioSpace, Petaling Jaya, on September 20.
The singer, whose full name is Sharifah Aisha Retno Sayed Sipulijam, admitted that accepting this offer was not an easy decision.
She shared that she is still traumatized by last year’s incident when her previous concert was canceled at the last minute.
According to Aisha, it took her months to agree to the offer due to fears that the same thing might happen again.
“When I first received the offer from LOL Asia, I was hesitant about whether I was ready physically and mentally.
I was deeply affected by the past incident,” said Aisha.
Aisha shared this during a media session for the launch of her new album titled Rehab and the announcement of the showcase concert, held at Hyatt Centric Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, on Thursday.
She added that those around her witnessed how torn she was about accepting the offer.
However, because of her trust in LOL Asia and their team, Aisha finally decided to move forward.
When asked about her source of strength, Aisha revealed that her family, friends, and fans have always been her main pillars of support.
“I draw a lot of encouragement from my family, friends, and the media.
Many people have supported me. Yes, I was affected by netizens’ comments, but how long can I dwell on that?
It’s better for me to keep going for the fans who have supported me for over five years,” she said.
Previously, Aisha’s name was caught in controversy when the ‘Konsert Malam Sutera Aisha Retno,’ scheduled for November 16 last year, was canceled by the organizer, Kharisma Music International.
The concert was called off due to poor ticket sales. Additionally, the organizing company demanded that Aisha repay RM83,000 used to realize her performance during AJL38.
