American comedian Adam Sandler described a viral story claiming he bought a luxury boutique, Chanel, as “something stupid” following allegations that his daughter was treated badly by store employees.

A fake clip that went viral on the Internet, created using artificial intelligence (AI), claimed that Sandler — who has two daughters, Sadie and Sunny, from his marriage to wife Jackie Sandler — said his eldest daughter was humiliated after attempting to buy a handbag at a Chanel boutique in Beverly Hills while dressed casually.

Sandler was also said to have retaliated by spending more than US$312,000 (over RM1 million), but all of the claims are completely false.

After the video went viral, he received messages from friends asking whether the story was true or not.
“I have never heard of this in my entire life,” he was quoted as saying by E! Online.

Sandler then joked that another viral story about him was that he bought a burger at In-N-Out Burger at midnight.
However, he clarified that this story is true. – BOOM!
