The Korean entertainment industry was shocked by the news of actress Kim Sae Ron’s passing. She was found dead at her home in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, on February 16, 2025.
According to the police, the report of her death was received around 5 PM, with the first person to find Kim Sae Ron believed to be a friend. Initial investigations found no signs of foul play or forced entry. However, authorities have launched further investigations to determine the exact cause of her death.

Kim Sae Ron had previously halted her acting activities after being involved in a DUI case in May 2022. Following the incident, she was fined 20 million won for causing an accident that led to a power outage in the surrounding area.

Her last appearance was in the Netflix series Bloodhounds, released in 2023, but it was filmed before her DUI incident. She was supposed to return to acting through the theatrical play Dongchimi in May 2024 but later withdrew due to health concerns.
Born in 2000, Kim Sae Ron began her career in the entertainment industry through the film A Brand New Life (2009). She gained widespread recognition for her roles in The Man from Nowhere and The Neighbor.
