Actress and former Elite member Abby Abadi has spoken out to defend herself after being accused of spreading false claims involving Fattah Amin and Amira Othman.

In a post on Threads yesterday, Abby explained that her statement about “true love” had been misinterpreted by some people.
“When did I ever slander the newlyweds? I just made a small comment about true love. Don’t blow things out of proportion,” she wrote.

Earlier, director Erma Fatima had congratulated Fattah Amin and Amira Othman on their marriage, expressing happiness that the couple had found true love.

However, Abby Abadi linked the phrase “true love” to Fattah’s previous marriage to actress Fazura, questioning whether their seven years of marriage had meant nothing to him.
Although she did not mention any names, her post was widely believed to refer to Fattah and Fazura’s relationship.

Abby later deleted the post to avoid further misunderstandings, but by then, it had already sparked a wave of reactions from netizens.
