The popular modern retro band, MASDO celebrated their 10th anniversary in grand style with the “Al-Kisah Kugiran MASDO 10 Tahun” concert at Zepp Kuala Lumpur recently.
The concert, organized by Hitman Solutions in collaboration with Kugiran Masdo, coincided with Independence Day celebrations, making it even more special.
Thousands of fans attended to experience a night full of nostalgia, singing along to favorite songs like “Teruna & Dara,” “Janji Manis,” “Dinda,” and “Ratu Hati.”
Even sweeter, the concert was enlivened by a lineup of guest artists.
Heidi Moru kicked off the collaborations with “Pujaanku,” while Noh Salleh tugged at heartstrings with “Inilah Jalannya” before returning with his band Hujan to perform “Janji Manis” and the iconic “Aku Scandal.”
The crowd’s cheers proved the strong chemistry between the two bands on stage.
The audience’s emotions were further stirred by performances from Nisa (violin) and Cakam (keyboard) during “Ratu Hati,” while Fizan from Bittersweet captivated with “Nearly Near You.”
Hitman Solutions’ Chief Executive Officer, Rohit Rampal, described the success as proof that modern retro music continues to thrive.
“Tonight’s concert proves that modern retro music isn’t just nostalgia. It’s alive, growing, and still shining.
MASDO has built their own legacy,” he said.
As the final note echoed, thousands of fans raised their mobile phones, turning Zepp KL into a sea of lights, a symbolic tribute to MASDO’s 10-year journey that remains relevant, fresh, and Malaysia’s number one modern retro band. – BOOM!
