Following the tense moment during the trophy presentation at the Anugerah Melodi Terhangat 2025 (AMT 2025), Bella Astillah’s personal assistant came forward to clarify that the singer experienced trauma while presenting an award to actress Sophia Albarakbah.
According to Niel Rafeq, Bella wasn’t being rude as claimed by some netizens, but rather her emotions were disturbed because she faced someone who had previously ‘hurt’ her life.
“She was shaking because of trauma.
Only she knows what happened… only those closest to her understand how deep that wound is,” Niel explained in an InstaStory post.
He added that Bella always holds firm to the principle of surrendering everything to Allah.
“Bella always tells us, what matters is that Allah knows.
She’s confident Allah will give the best to those who are patient.”
Bella’s action of not shaking hands with Sophia on stage and leaving immediately without attending the press conference, despite winning the Hottest Celebrity Couple Goals category with Muar MP, Syed Saddiq, sparked speculation of a ‘cold war’ between the two celebrities.
However, Sophia chose to stay silent and stressed that she holds no ill feelings toward Bella.
Previously, around January 2024, Sophia was linked as the third party in Bella and Aliff Aziz’s marriage.
The controversy was followed by the revelation of private apology messages allegedly sent by Sophia to Bella.
For the record, Bella and Aliff were officially divorced on June 13, and they have two children, Ayden Adrian and Ara Adreanna. – BOOM!
