The wife of famous actor Shukri Yahaya, Tya Adnan, came forward with an explanation after some netizens questioned her presence on social media despite wearing a niqab.
Through a post on the Threads platform, Tya, whose full name is Siti Nurfatihah Ahmad Adnan, 33, emphasized that her presence on social media is not aimed at chasing popularity as claimed, but rather to normalize Islamic practices.

“They say, ‘If you’re wearing a niqab, stay at home quietly. No need to post on social media.’
But if all women in niqab stay silent, who will normalize the attire that Allah approves?” she said.
Tya further stressed that her main intention is to help future generations understand and accept Sharia-compliant attire like the niqab.
“We’re not here for popularity. We’re here to normalize Sharia.
Not for fame, but for the future generation,” she added.

Many social media users expressed support for Tya’s statement, viewing her actions as a commendable form of advocacy. – BOOM!
