Filming for the highly anticipated TV series adaptation of the popular Harry Potter novels has finally begun, with the production team revealing the first image of lead actor, Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter in his official costume.
This HBO-produced series is expected to take 10 years to complete fully.
It will provide more space to explore the original novel’s storyline without the time constraints of the previous film versions.
Besides McLaughlin, who is now 11 years old, a new cast has also been introduced.

Rory Wilmot will play Neville Longbottom, Amos Kitson as Dudley Dursley, Louise Brealey as Madam Rolanda Hooch, and Anton Lesser as Garrick Ollivander.
They will join previously announced stars such as John Lithgow (Dumbledore), Nick Frost (Hagrid), Janet McTeer (Minerva McGonagall), and Paapa Essiedu (Severus Snape).
The three main child actors portraying Harry, Ron, and Hermione were introduced last May.
Interestingly, the filming of this series is also taking place at Warner Bros Studios Leavesden, Hertfordshire, the same location used for the eight original Harry Potter films.

HBO previously stated that the series will be the most faithful adaptation of JK Rowling’s original work.
For context, the first season of the series is expected to premiere in 2027. – BOOM!
