Paula Verhoeven brought evidence and witnesses to counter her husband Baim Wong’s claims that their children do not want to spend extended time with him. This action was taken during their divorce hearing at the South Jakarta Religious Court on Wednesday (19/2).
“The two witnesses refute the most fundamental claim, which is that the children are traumatized,” said Paula’s lawyer, Alvon Kurnia Palma, as reported by detikcom.
According to him, the witnesses will provide their own testimony regarding the actual situation, especially concerning the children’s development.
“Our witnesses aim to counter the claims that have been made. We don’t need many witnesses, but what we present is based on valid evidence,” he emphasized.
Although he did not detail the evidence submitted to the judge, Paula’s legal team hopes it will be considered in the court’s decision.
“This evidence is here to validate the electronic evidence previously submitted, ensuring the integrity of the data,” added Alvon.
For context, Baim Wong officially filed for divorce from Paula Verhoeven on October 8, 2024, after nearly six years of marriage.
Since several months prior, their relationship had drawn attention as they were rarely seen together, sparking speculation that their marriage was in trouble. – BOOM!
